Only a small part of our population today (about 2%) are involved in the commercial growing of all of our food.  Of this small number, only a much smaller fraction currently work within an organic or ecological oriented framework or with more regenerative approaches such as biodynamics and permaculture.  We are encouraged where and whenever we see home gardeners and bakers who practice their skills for themselves and share with those around them.

In 2020 the response to current situations seems to be inspiring more folks to plant gardens this summer, to grow their own healthy food, and do more baking! This is something to celebrate, one of the positive shifts that we hope will be retained and help build more resilient communities in the years to come.  We offer a few resources to support your growing explorations.
